Cozy Warm Slippers for Men or Women (Fits too small for men’s size chart so order up!)

  • Author: Selena Reviews

  • Match search results: OK, I really like these slippers, but I have a word of warning that they fit small in the length. I bought them for my son who wears a size 9 men’s tennis shoes and size 8 1/2 men’s baseball cleats. He recently moved up from Men’s size 8 (we were wearing the same size shoes earlier in the year, and I wear a women’s size 9). In fact, I was thinking that women’s 9 is the same as men’s 8, but upon further research of size charts, I have discovered this:

Men’s to Women’s Shoes Conversion Chart
    Men’s/Youth 6.5 is the same as women’s 8.5
    Men’s/Youth 7 is the same as women’s 9
    Men’s/Youth 7.5 is the same as women’s 9.5
    Men’s/Youth 8.0 is the same as women’s 10

    So…
These slippers are labeled men’s 8-9. They SHOULD fit a women’s size 10 or 10.5. Wow! Not even close.

I think these are EXCELLENT slippers, and very comfortable, but you may need to consider the labeling for size before ordering. Order a size UP to compensate and you’ll probably be fine.

In fact, I would suggest this company change the labeling to “women’s” and it will be perfect. These slippers are 8-9 and I can just fit into them for my foot length. My son (who is wearing size 9 tennis shoes) feels that they are uncomfortable on the heel when the foot hangs out the back. That is because there is a hard ridge along the back that your heel presses on, if they are too long.

So, I am *CONDITIONAL* in liking these IF and only if you end up getting a good fit. It’s OK to me that I ordered them, intending them for my son, and now I have a new pair of slippers. (Others may NOT be fine with that though!)

    Pros:
    1) Soft and warm to wear. Very cozy and fuzzy on the inside!
    2) Outside fabric is well made, durable and looks like it will last.
    3) The hard sole is comfortable, especially for someone like me who has plantar fasciitis heel pain if I’m not careful to manage it properly. I’ve had this issue for nearly 15 and I’m almost pain free about 95% of the time, but it took quite a bit of testing and tuning to find out what I should do to best prevent heel pain. 1 on that list is supportive shoes! ALL THE TIME (even in the house, and even when wearing sandals! I love Orthaheel sandals for example. I cannot wear flats or sandals unless this brand. Manage the support, reduce the pain!) I cannot wear thin sandals without a sturdy support. These DO have support, so they work for me.

    Cons:
Sizing is off for these slippers, so buy up! The back lip or ridge is hard plastic, and you will feel that pressing into your heel if your foot is too long for these slippers. I can wear them just fine, but according to this size label, my woman’s size 9 foot should not be a proper fit. If I went by this size label, I should have a women’s size 10 or 10.5 foot to be able to wear these comfortably. If I did though, there’s just NO way that I could wear these.

Overall, I’m in “like” with these slippers (for me). They are warm and soft, yet supportive, so that’s a plus. I do think it will be problematic on sizing though for some people. Apparently my son’s feet are now longer than mine and he isn’t going to be wearing them. I’ve been wearing them around the house for a while now and will continue to do so.
