About Our School

The mission of Kennesaw Charter School is to provide students with a world-class learning opportunity by maintaining a caring learning environment; involving parents and the community in school activities; utilizing innovative teaching techniques delivered by a superior faculty and offering a challenging curriculum that prepares children for lives of leadership in a rapidly changing world.

Kennesaw Charter School serves students K-5.  While a strong instructional focus is placed on Mathematics and Science, our instruction is driven by the Georgia Performance Standards.  Kennesaw students' scores are consistently high in all curricular areas, and our highly qualified teachers are proud to serve students with special needs (Special Education, Gifted, ESOL).

Kennesaw enrichment programs are excellent as well.  Students receive Art, Music, Physical Education and Spanish instruction weekly.  We also have a certified Media Coordinator and School Nurse on campus full-time.

When you visit Kennesaw Charter you'll feel the difference as soon as you arrive.  We want to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone, but mostly for our students.  Research shows that children who feel safe, calm and welcome, learn more effectively.  Visitors will notice classical music, aromatherapy, natural lighting, water bottles on desks, and lots of movement in many of our classrooms.  We know that students become more successful learners when their bellies are full, their brains are hydrated, and their bodies and minds stay "awake".

Volunteers play a big role in the great things that happen at Kennesaw Charter School.  They help in classrooms, with our gardens and outdoor learning area, in the dining room, and with special events like Science Fair and Field Day.  Parents, family members and community volunteers offer our staff and students the support they need to enjoy unique and creative learning opportunities.

Kennesaw Charter Panthers love to celebrate!  Chick-Fil-A visits once a month to celebrate our Teacher and our Student of the Month.  School wide, we notice those who go out of their way to make good choices or to help others.  These folks go on our Panther Pride Personal Best wall, so everyone can celebrate them.  We are always looking for a reason to recognize our students for improved effort, grades, manners, attendance or attitude.  At Kennesaw Charter School, we know you can't praise a child too much.  And teachers like it too!

Please call (678-290-9628) or visit our school.  It would be our pleasure to show you what sets Kennesaw Charter School apart from the rest.  Until then, we wish you well.
