STEM Garden Updates

Hey Parents!

The STEM Committee wants to start off by first stating, Thank You!  Thank you for your many donations we have already received.  Second, here is an update.  One classroom from every grade level will be participating in Phase 1 of our garden.  Phase 1 includes that class from that grade level building a piece to our music garden.  Below, you will find a list of items needed for this phase.  (Please note, every child will participate in further phases, for now, these are the "pilot" classrooms to get us started.)  We are asking for these items by Wednesday, October 18th.  Any items still in need will be purchased Friday, October 20th, using our FUN RUN donations from last year.  If your classroom is the pilot room, you will receive more information about when we will be building.

Here is a general idea of what each grade level is contributing to the garden:

  • Kindergarten- pots and pans station
  • 1st- coffee can station
  • 2nd- school songs (walkways)
  • 3rd- PVC pipe xylophone station
  • 4th- bucket station
  • 5th- medal xylophone station

Get excited!!!!!  These will be ready to be on display by October 30th! 😊

Here are the items we are requesting by October 18th.  Parents, if you, friends, or family work as a contractor, builder, caterer, or gutting the house for Fall cleaning, please ask if scraps or items are willing to be donated to us.
