We have finally paved the roads!!!!! Although we were not able to pave everything we wanted, we got the majority of the paving done so we don’t have to deal with mud anymore. The exterior of the building is coming along. By then end of next week we should only have the front entrance left to work on. Interior work is progressing as well. We have only the media center and admin area left to hang. Once this is done we will continue with ceilings, inspections, flooring, doors, cabinets, etc. We had our inspection for permanent power yesterday and hope to have heat to the building by the middle of next week.
KCSMA will be releasing early for conference October 24 through 26. We will begin carpool at noon. ASP will be available!
Chick-fil-a biscuits will be sold on Friday, October 7th starting at 7:30am! Biscuits are $2.50 each!
Building update from Jon Taylor, Project Manager with Hodges and Hicks:
Things have progressed nicely in the last couple of weeks. The site work is wrapping up quickly and hopefully we will have some nice, new pavement to ride on in the next couple of days!! The building is coming together also. We completed the framing of the cafeteria last week and are working our way through the media center this week. If all goes well we should have all interior and exterior framing complete by next week. As for the finishes, we have begun painting and installing acoustical ceilings in the 2 story. Drywall finishing has begun on corridor 7 and the sheet rock in corridor 3 will be complete tomorrow. The building is really taking shape now and the race is on to get some heat going before the cold weather gets here!! We are hoping to have permanent power in 3 to 4 weeks so it should work out nicely.
